Kim Perry
Arthur, Nurse Practitioner, and Arthur
Meet Kim Perry – a healer, adventurer, and unwavering source of strength. As a nurse practitioner, Kim’s life revolves around service, impact, and the belief that women can absolutely crush it in any domain they set their minds to. Whether she’s caring for patients, plunging into the icy waters of Alyeska’s Nordic Spa, or hiking through fireweed taller than her head, Kim embodies what it means to live fully, love deeply, and embrace the wild beauty of Alaska.
Originally from Oregon, Kim followed love north to Alaska, trading the familiar for a life rooted in connection—to the land, her family, and herself. She’s the kind of woman who hikes 28 miles in the pouring rain, drenched to the bone but lit up by the joy of being in the moment with people she loves. Her rituals—like releasing grief into cold water or starting each day with intention and gratitude—are a reminder that strength and tenderness go hand in hand. And when she’s out there doing the work, whether holding up a patient or showing up for her family, she’s wearing her trusty SWOOP Fox Bra—a soft, wire-free secret weapon that moves with her through it all. Kim shows us what it looks like to lead with heart, to live with purpose, and to never forget to hug your dog and tell him he’s the greatest. Because it’s true. Every day.

What are you excited about right now?
The incredible opportunities we have to live lives of service and impact! Women today are unstoppable—we have so many avenues to crush it in every part of life, making things better for people near and far. I’m excited to be in the flow with so many like-minded, powerful people, waking up every morning to do good work in the world and take care of each other.
When have you felt most connected to Alaska?
When my brother, nephew, and I hiked Resurrection Pass this summer! It rained the entire time, and after 28 miles in two days, we were completely soaked. We could actually wring out our boot insoles! But despite the cold and wet, I felt protected—like Alaska was watching over us. Hiking through fireweed up to our eyeballs, just being together, was nothing short of life-changing.

What’s an underrated place in Alaska that others should explore?
The Nordic Spa at Alyeska! There’s something about water immersion and cold plunging that is so good for the body and soul. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend going—whether alone or with a friend—especially after a tough week or season. It’s like hitting the reset button for your entire system.
How did you first discover SWOOP?
Years ago, I picked up the Fox Bra—yellow straps, cheeky little foxes in the pattern. I’ve loved it ever since. When I wear it, I feel like I have a secret... like I’ve got a bunch of badass, foxy foxes cruising around with me all day.
What makes SWOOP different from other products?
They are soft—like, truly soft. I remember once catching a full-grown man as he was falling, my entire body bracing to keep him safe. My arms and legs were at wild angles, but all I could think was, Thank God for my soft SWOOP bra without wires. It’s not digging into my chest, I’m safe, it’s soft, and we’re both going to be OK.

What’s your best self-care ritual?
Water immersion. I use it to release grief, inspired by Dr. Rita Pitka Blumenstein. Running water over my forearms or plunging my hands into snow helps me let go of heavy energy and return to myself. I’m also incredibly grateful for my bathtub—it’s my sanctuary.
What’s a motivational quote you live by?
"Find a place where there’s joy, and the joy will burn out the pain." – Joseph Campbell.
This quote has saved me. I even got permission from the Joseph Campbell Foundation to include it in my book.

How do you start your day?
Before I even look at my phone, I set my intentions:
-
What am I letting go of today?
-
What am I grateful for today?
-
What am I focusing on today?
Then I hug my dog and tell him he’s the greatest dog ever made in the history of the planet—because it’s true every single day.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
"You’re the best Mom I’ve ever had, in all my lifetimes!" My daughter said this when she was little, and it’s still the best thing anyone’s ever told me. She’s always been a spiritual kid, and being a parent? It’s an absolute hoot.
